Dubai named as one of the world’s most dynamic cities

Change. It’s a word that you associate with Dubai. From the building boom of the last 35 years, to the plans for the future. It is a city that is full of change. In every part of town, you see a difference. And now Dubai has been named one of the most dynamic cities on the planet. The JLL City Momentum Index shows Dubai to be a fast-changing city. The report watches the changing economy, commercial sector and real estate markets across the world. Dubai was named the 11th most dynamic city in 2017.

Where does Dubai sit in the world?

Some cities are experiencing huge change. Bangalore in India changes beyond recognition every year. They chase foreign investment for their city. Other such as Silicon Valley have seen change happen for a very long time. Dubai headed the Arab world in this survey and finished just behind Nairobi, Kenya. The city has a lot of change in the future with Dubai Expo 2020 fast becoming a reality. It is a global hub for business and property investment. Dubai has a bright short term and long term future according to the report.

A dynamic city for now, and beyond

It is no surprise to see tech cities high on the list. Silicon Valley, for example, is at number three on the list. Dubai has invested heavily in a tech infrastructure because the future city needs this string to its bow. After a few years on the outside of the top 30 in the survey, Dubai is firmly back. You can see from the cities in the survey that Dubai has some work to do. The work hasn’t stopped and the city looks to a brighter future. Being dynamic means accepting change and working with it Dubai has always been a master at this game.
